This whole wheat boule has nothing in common with the whole wheat bread you may have previously eaten in an attempt to boost the nutrition of your meal. Those commercially baked whole wheat loaves are all too frequently dense, uncomfortably chewy, and shockingly dry. Bleck!
This loaf is moist, hearty, and pleasingly filling: you'll be content for hours after eating a piece. It features an open crumb, and like my other breads, an extended fermentation to enhance flavor and ease of digestibility.
